For 2 months my ipod/ami was fine and from then it has given problems. For no apparent reason the music goes off line and all you can hear is cracling and interference, sometimes the left hand or right hand channels go down and its just like you pulled the ariel out of a radio. The radio in my 1999 Audi A6 is not working. It turns on and the display looks normal. I can hear the sound of the radio very faintly (and only with the volume turned up to max) through the small phone system speaker on the driver's side door jam, so I think the radio is actually working - I just can't hear it through the speaker system. Sometimes, rebooting the MMI can fix minor glitches and errors. To reboot the MMI, press and hold the SETUP, CENTER, and TOP RIGHT buttons simultaneously until the screen goes black. Wait for a few seconds and then release the buttons. The MMI should restart and load the sat nav normally. #2. Feb 26, 2010 · Turns out there is a Technical Service Bulletin involving a leak in the rear window washer fluid line. It leaks at the rear door hinge (left) and that washer fluid runs down onto the radio stack in the Left Hand wheel-well compartment. It shorts out the system until it dries.
