Far Cry 5 is out on PC and it's facing some technical issues. There are a few Far Cry 5 errors/bugs/crashes being reported and we have fixes for them all. #2 Controller Does Not Work If you have any issues, ensure that SteamVR is already running and working with your headset before launching the game. Refer to the manual for the default controller bindings. Index and Touch-like controllers are supported out of the box. Any other controller type may require you to create your own custom controller bindings for the game. I tried my wireless one (original Xbox controller) with original MS dongle, still no luck. I remember people all over the official Ubisoft forum having problems when the game came out and I have never been able to make either one of my controller work with the game WHEN my G27 wheel from Logirtech is plugged in. Yes, you can play them with controller, but you won't have the same control and no way that you can be that precise with the weapons, that's the reason you're having aim assistant. 2. tl;dr: If the game is running fine for you but stuttering when you move the mouse, try finding your vendor-specific mouse options and reducing the polling rate/report rate. Mine was at 1000Hz by default and the mouse would stutter even in menus. Lowering it to 500Hz fixes the problem. Thanks, that fixed the issue. He's a fix that worked for me, Xbox One controller, should work for PS4 controllers also. Different methods of getting there but this is how i got there. 1. Open Big Picture mode 2. Go to Library 3. Click Far Cry 5 4. Click Manage Game 5. Click Controller Settings. 6. Turn Forced Steam Controller settings or something similar to that OFF. 7 Turn off your PS5 and disconnect your controller. On your PC, open Start Menu > Settings > Devices > Add Bluetooth or other device . On your PS5 controller, hold down the PlayStation and Create buttons to enter pairing mode. In the Add a device window on your PC, select Bluetooth, and then select the controller that pops up. Go to controller settings and map the "melee/takedown/drop body" to right-stick press. Scroll down to the crouch and re-map the "B" button to "while pressed.". Save and Exit the menu too gameplay, open the menu back up, go back the controller mapping and now switch the "B" button to toggle. Save and exit the menu and the crouch The Dual Sense isn't officially supported [www.ubisoft.com] for Far Cry 5, so we can't give any official recommendations for how to get it showing the correct face buttons. That said, I'd suggest trying out Big Picture Mode, which allows you to force games to see whichever type of gamepad you'd like - in this case, forcing the game to see a Go to steam main interface , click view, then settings, controller settings, and xbox or ps4 or whatever. Should work like a charm. One final thing if you don't want to use Big Picture interface in game for your Steam Overlay you need to go to your Steam settings In-Game tab, and uncheck Use the Big Picture Overlay when using a Steam Input enabled controller from the desktop. gE2s.
